Job Summary
We are seeking a talented and passionate Pastry Chef to join our tea Room. The successful candidate will be responsible for creating a variety of high-quality pastries, desserts, and baked goods, ensuring all products meet our standards for taste, presentation, and safety. This role offers an exciting opportunity to showcase your baking expertise within a dynamic and professional kitchen environment.

Responsibilities

Prepare and bake a wide range of pastries, desserts, and baked goods according to established recipes and quality standards.
Assist in developing new pastry recipes and menu items to enhance our offerings.
Ensure all food production complies with food safety regulations and hygiene standards.
Manage ingredient inventory, monitor stock levels, and place orders as needed to maintain efficient operations.
Maintain cleanliness and organisation of the pastry section and work areas at all times.
Collaborate with the kitchen team to ensure timely preparation and presentation of all dessert items.
Monitor baking processes to ensure consistency in quality and appearance.
Assist in training junior staff members in pastry techniques and safety procedures.

Skills

Proven experience (minimum 2 years) in food production, food preparation, and cooking within a professional kitchen environment.
Strong background in baking, with a good understanding of pastry techniques.
Knowledge of food safety standards and hygiene practices relevant to the culinary industry.
Previous restaurant or hospitality experience is highly desirable.
Excellent organisational skills with the ability to work efficiently under pressure.
Creativity and attention to detail in presentation and flavour pairing.
Ability to work collaboratively as part of a team while maintaining high standards of professionalism.

Pay: £28,000.00-£30,000.00 per year
