Job Summary
We are a Freight Forwarder based in Leeds for more than 50 years and are pleased to be offering this new position within our company to support the day to day administration duties of the team. This is a great opportunity for the right candidate to work in a small team setting as well as being a long term career opportunity.

We are seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Office Junior Administrator to join our dynamic team. This role is essential in supporting the daily operations of our office, ensuring that administrative tasks are completed efficiently and effectively. The ideal candidate will possess strong organisational skills, a keen eye for detail, and the ability to communicate professionally over the phone and in writing.

The successful candidate will receive a full company induction as well as on the job training. This is a great career opportunity within our company.

Responsibilities

Provide administrative support to ensure the smooth operation of the office.
Assist with regular day to day export and import shipments
Manage incoming calls with excellent phone etiquette, directing inquiries as necessary.
Perform data entry tasks accurately and efficiently using various software applications.
Assist in maintaining office supplies and inventory management.
Utilise Microsoft Office package for document creation, scheduling, and communication.
Invoicing.
Support financial processes by entering data into our bespoke office package and assisting with basic bookkeeping tasks.
Organise files and maintain an orderly filing system for easy access to information.
Collaborate with team members on various projects to enhance office productivity.

Experience

Previous experience in an administrative or clerical role is required.
Previous experience in export/import shipping is desirable but not essential.
Proficiency in Microsoft applications is required.
Strong organisational skills with the ability to prioritise tasks effectively.
Excellent verbal and written communication skills, demonstrating professionalism at all times.
A proactive approach to problem-solving and a willingness to learn new skills.
Excellent and professional phone skills to communicate with customers and suppliers
