Full job description

Office Administrator

RDM Test Equipment manufactures and distributes industrial test equipment from its site in Elsenham, Hertfordshire. We are looking for an organised and enthusiastic Office Administrator to join our friendly team.

The Role

This is a varied position providing general administrative support across the business. Key responsibilities include:

Answering incoming telephone calls, directing them to the appropriate person, and providing excellent customer service.
Maintaining office filing systems, archiving documents when required, handling daily post, and managing stationery supplies.
Welcoming visitors to the office and arranging refreshments when required.
Corresponding with customers, agents, and suppliers worldwide, including submitting quality information through supplier portals and completing supplier questionnaires.
Maintaining company databases and records.
Liaising with the Accounts and Service teams to support day-to-day administrative activities.
Assisting with order dispatch, packaging orders, and arranging courier collections through online portals.
Creating certificates and maintaining accurate documentation.
Managing your own email inbox as well as two shared inboxes.
Undertaking any other general office administration duties as required.

About You

To be considered for this role, you should have:

Good working knowledge of Microsoft Outlook, Excel, and Word (essential).
Experience using Sage 50 Accounts (desirable).
Excellent attention to detail (essential).
Strong organisational and time management skills.
A professional and confident telephone manner.
The ability to work effectively as part of a team.
The ability to use your own initiative and prioritise workloads.
A strong work ethic and a reliable, punctual approach.
