Job Summary
We are seeking a dedicated and skilled Line Cook to join our busy kitchen team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for preparing and cooking a variety of dishes in accordance with our restaurant standards. This role offers an excellent opportunity to develop culinary skills within a dynamic environment, ensuring high-quality meal preparation and food safety compliance. The successful applicant will contribute to delivering an exceptional dining experience for our guests through efficient and professional kitchen operations.

Responsibilities

Prepare ingredients and cook menu items according to recipes and quality standards
Assist in meal assembly, ensuring presentation meets company guidelines
Maintain cleanliness and organisation of workstations, adhering to food safety regulations
Operate kitchen equipment safely and efficiently, including ovens, grills, and fryers
Follow portion control guidelines to minimise waste and optimise efficiency
Support team members during busy service periods to ensure timely delivery of orders
Monitor stock levels and notify management when supplies need replenishing
Adhere strictly to health and safety policies, including food hygiene standards

Experience

Prior experience in food preparation or as a kitchen assistant is desirable but not essential; training will be provided for the right candidate
Knowledge of cooking techniques and culinary practices preferred
Experience working in a fast-paced restaurant or hospitality environment is advantageous
Familiarity with food safety standards and procedures is beneficial
Previous serving experience can be an asset, especially in understanding customer service expectations
