Job Summary

We are seeking an energetic and organised Receptionist to join our team!

In this vital role, you will be the first point of contact for visitors and callers, ensuring a warm and professional experience.

Your proactive approach and excellent organizational skills will help keep our front office running smoothly. This paid position offers an exciting opportunity to develop your administrative expertise while supporting daily operations with enthusiasm and efficiency.

You will also be expected to cover our Emporium Interiors shop and take bedroom reservations.

Responsibilities

Greet visitors warmly and direct them appropriately, maintaining a professional and friendly demeanor at all times
Answer incoming phone calls promptly, using proper phone etiquette, and route calls to the correct departments or personnel
Manage front desk activities including scheduling appointments, maintaining visitor logs, and handling incoming correspondence
Perform data entry tasks accurately using Microsoft Office applications, Google Workspace, and QuickBooks as needed
Organize and maintain office supplies, files, and records to ensure a tidy and efficient workspace
Assist with administrative tasks such as photocopying, scanning, and preparing documents for meetings or distribution
Support team members with clerical duties to enhance overall office productivity

Experience

Prior office experience demonstrating familiarity with administrative procedures and front desk responsibilities
Strong computer skills including proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint), Google Workspace (Gmail, Drive), and basic data entry techniques
Experience with QuickBooks or similar accounting software is a plus
Excellent organizational skills with the ability to prioritize tasks effectively in a fast-paced environment
Demonstrated phone etiquette and communication skills to handle inquiries professionally
Typing speed of at least 40 words per minute with accuracy preferred
Previous clerical or administrative experience that showcases attention to detail and reliability
