We are well known and highly respected within Hampshire, Portsmouth and the surrounding areas, as well as successfully assisting clients throughout the United Kingdom. We operate from three offices located in Portsmouth, Emsworth and Wickham and employ over 70 members of staff.

Job Description

We have an opportunity for a permanent full-time Receptionist to start ASAP at our friendly office in Portsmouth.

The role will involve:

Answering and transferring calls in a timely and efficient manner, ensuring full details of the client are taken
Handling overflow calls from our other offices when required
Taking accurate messages
Greeting clients and visitors in a friendly, professional manner
Keeping accurate records of all visitors and documents delivered
General administrative duties as applicable
Data input and maintaining accurate records
Inputting and recording time entries as required
Collecting outgoing post and preparing for collection
Ensuring reception area, waiting areas and interview rooms are clean, safe and tidy

Experience / About You

You should be:

Friendly and professional in manner
Well spoken and able to communicate clearly and confidently, both verbally and in writing
Presentable and professional in appearance
Organised and able to work well under pressure
Accurate with excellent attention to detail
Able to work independently and as part of a team
Adaptable and willing to take on other duties as required
Have a good sense of humour

The ideal candidate will have:

Customer service experience (beneficial)
Administrative experience
Front desk / reception experience
General office experience
Strong telephone etiquette and communication skills
Strong organisational skills and attention to detail
Experience using Microsoft Word and Microsoft Excel
GCSE English and Maths (or equivalent) (preferred but not essential)

Working Hours

Monday to Friday, 8:30am – 5:00pm, with one hour for lunch.

Salary

£26,000 per annum
