Junior Office Administrator

Location: Ground Floor Suite, 6 Pioneer Court, Darlington, County Durham, DL1 4WD
Hours: Monday to Friday (Office Based)
Salary: Competitive

ADG Architects Ltd is looking for a friendly, enthusiastic and organised Junior Office Administrator to join our team in Darlington.

This is an excellent opportunity for someone starting their career in administration. No previous office experience is required – we're looking for someone with a positive attitude, a willingness to learn and a keen eye for detail. Full training will be provided.

Working alongside our friendly team, you'll help keep the office running smoothly while supporting our architects with a variety of administrative tasks.

The Role

As a Junior Office Administrator, you'll be involved in the day-to-day running of the office, providing administrative support to the team and ensuring clients receive a professional and welcoming experience.

Key Responsibilities

Answer telephone calls and direct enquiries to the appropriate team members.
Welcome visitors to the office.
Assist with general office administration.
Format reports, letters and other project documents.
Support architects with project administration and filing.
Organise electronic documents and maintain accurate records.
Assist with preparing meeting documents and general office correspondence.
Help keep the office organised and stocked with supplies.
Carry out a variety of administrative duties to support the wider team.

About You

We're looking for someone who:

Is friendly, reliable and eager to learn.
Has good communication and organisational skills.
Has a good level of written English and attention to detail.
Is confident using a computer.
Has some knowledge of Microsoft Word and Excel (preferred, but not essential).
Is willing to learn new skills and software.
Works well as part of a team and can use their own initiative.
Has a positive and professional attitude.

No previous office experience is required as full training will be provided.

ADG Architects Ltd is looking for an organised and proactive Office Administrator / Personal Assistant to support the day-to-day running of our Darlington studio and provide direct assistance to our senior team. This is a varied, central role within a busy and creative architectural practice.

Role Responsibilities:

Providing personal assistant support to directors and senior staff
Managing diaries, scheduling meetings, and coordinating appointments
Taking meeting minutes and tracking actions
Preparing documents, reports, and presentation packs
Handling incoming calls, emails, and correspondence
Maintaining project records and office systems
General day-to-day office administration and studio support

Key Requirements:

Previous experience in an administrative or PA role is preferred
Strong organisational skills with excellent attention to detail
Professional communication skills and a proactive approach
Confident using Microsoft Office (Outlook, Word, Excel, Teams)
Experience within architecture, construction, or professional services is desirable but not essential

Location: Darlington
