Warehouse Operative – ORBITER AVIATION

Position Summary

ORBITER AVIATION is looking for a reliable, organised, and detail-oriented Warehouse Operative to join our team.

The successful candidate will be responsible for supporting the day-to-day operation of our warehouse, ensuring that goods, parts, and materials are received, stored, recorded, and dispatched accurately and efficiently.

This is a hands-on role that requires good organisational skills, attention to detail, and the ability to work independently as well as part of a team.

Duties & Responsibilities

Receive, check, and put away incoming goods and materials
Pick, pack, and prepare orders for dispatch
Ensure all goods are correctly labelled and stored
Maintain accurate stock records and carry out regular stock checks
Assist with stock counts and inventory control
Process goods received and dispatch documentation
Enter and update stock information on the company system
Monitor stock levels and report shortages, discrepancies, or damaged goods
Ensure the warehouse is kept clean, organised, and safe
Follow company procedures and health & safety requirements
Assist with loading and unloading deliveries when required
Coordinate with the purchasing, finance, and operations teams
Handle aviation parts and equipment with appropriate care and attention
Perform other warehouse and administrative duties as required

Required Qualifications & Skills

Previous experience in a warehouse, stores, logistics, or similar role in the UK
Good attention to detail and accuracy
Strong organisational and time-management skills
Ability to work independently and as part of a team
Good communication skills in English
Basic computer skills and confidence using Microsoft Office
Ability to maintain accurate records and follow procedures
Positive, reliable, and proactive attitude
Ability to work in a fast-paced environment
Experience using warehouse management or stock control systems
Experience handling technical or aviation parts
Forklift licence would be an advantage
Full UK driving licence would be an advantage
Knowledge of stock control and inventory management
