Job Overview

We are seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented GP Receptionist and Clinical Summariser to join our healthcare team. This role involves providing exceptional administrative support within a busy medical practice, ensuring smooth patient flow and accurate clinical documentation. The successful candidate will possess strong organisational and communication skills, with a focus on delivering outstanding customer service. Responsibilities

Greeting patients warmly and efficiently managing reception duties
Scheduling, confirming, and rescheduling patient appointments using practice management software
Collecting patient information and updating records accurately in compliance with data protection regulations
Summarising clinical notes from doctors’ consultations and ensuring precise documentation within electronic health records (EHR) systems
Assisting with administrative tasks such as filing, data entry, and correspondence
Maintaining organised patient files and ensuring all documentation is up-to-date
Providing excellent customer service by addressing patient enquiries professionally and courteously
Collaborating with colleagues to improve administrative processes and optimise workflow

Requirements

Proven computer skills, including proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook) Knowledge of EMIS Clinical System is desirable but not essential.
Excellent organisational skills with the ability to prioritise tasks effectively in a fast-paced environment
Exceptional communication skills in English, both written and verbal
Previous experience in a healthcare or customer service setting is desirable but not essential
Demonstrated leadership qualities with the ability to work independently as well as part of a team
IT literacy with an understanding of electronic health records systems and general office equipment
Ability to handle sensitive information discreetly and maintain confidentiality at all times
