Job Summary

We are seeking a passionate and dedicated Nursery Practitioner Level 3 to join our friendly team. In this role, you will be responsible for creating a safe, nurturing, and stimulating environment where young children can learn, grow, and develop essential skills. You will support the delivery of high-quality childcare, ensuring each child's individual needs are met with enthusiasm and professionalism. This position offers an exciting opportunity to make a positive impact on children's lives while working within a team committed to excellence in early years education.

Duties

Plan and implement engaging daily activities that promote children’s social, emotional, physical, and cognitive development in line with early childhood education standards.
Supervise and support children during play, learning sessions, meals, and outdoor activities to ensure safety and well-being at all times.
Maintain records of children's progress, attendance, and developmental milestones in accordance with regulatory requirements.
Communicate effectively with parents and guardians about their child's progress, behaviours, and any concerns that may arise.
Ensure the nursery environment is clean, safe, and well-organized, adhering to health and safety regulations.
Contribute to the ongoing development of nursery policies and participate in staff meetings to enhance service quality.
Good written and verbal communication skills
Experience working with Under 2's or 2-4 year olds depending on role
A Paediatric First Aid Qualification (desirable)

Skills

Experience working with children in a childcare or nursery setting; knowledge of early years foundation stage framework.
Ability to create a nurturing environment that supports each child's individual needs and promotes positive behaviour.
Good organizational skills with attention to detail for record keeping and planning activities.
Ability to work as part of a team and use own initiative
Positive can do and will do attitude
Flexibility to adapt routines based on children's needs and nursery priorities.
Valid driving license is desirable.

We operate 47 weeks a year (closed for two weeks over Christmas and all bank holidays, two weeks in the summer and one over the Easter holidays) and our working hours are 7.45am- 5.30pm, Monday to Friday and successful candidates must be available to work within these times, although this position is for three days a week (23 hours)

Pay: £13.00 per hour
