MIG Welder

Location: Smethwick, Midlands

Job Type: Permanent, Full-Time

Salary: Competitive (DOE)

About the Role

We are currently recruiting for an experienced MIG Welder to join a growing manufacturing company in the Midlands. This is a permanent, full-time position offering a competitive salary, long-term stability, and opportunities for overtime.

Key Responsibilities

Carry out high-quality MIG welding on a range of steel products.
Read and interpret engineering drawings and specifications.
Prepare, assemble, and weld steel components to the required standard.
Inspect completed welds to ensure quality and accuracy.
Operate welding equipment safely and efficiently.
Maintain a clean and organised work area while following health and safety procedures.
Work collaboratively as part of a production team to meet deadlines.

Requirements

Previous experience as a MIG Welder working with steel.
Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings.
Strong attention to detail and commitment to producing high-quality work.
Reliable with a strong work ethic.
Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
Welding qualifications are advantageous but not essential.
