Commercial Events administration role supporting client enquiries, event records and smooth delivery across Wellington College’s professional events operation.

At Wellington College, we are seeking a highly organised and customer-focused Commercial Events Administrator to join our Commercial Events Team. Located in Crowthorne, Berkshire, our 400 acre estate provides a distinctive and inspiring place to work. This is an exciting opportunity to support the planning, coordination and administration of a wide range of commercial events and activities hosted within the College’s prestigious surroundings.

The Commercial Events Team manages externally led events and facilities bookings, including sporting tournaments, charity functions, conferences, residential language schools and filming projects. The team plays an important role in delivering exceptional service to external clients, while supporting the College’s wider philanthropic initiatives, including bursary and scholarship programmes.

As Commercial Events Administrator, you will provide essential administrative support across the event lifecycle, helping to manage enquiries, maintain accurate records, prepare documentation and support clear communication between colleagues, clients and stakeholders. You will work closely with the Commercial Events Manager and wider team to ensure that event processes are efficient, professional and well organised.

The successful candidate will bring strong administrative experience, excellent attention to detail and a professional, approachable manner. You will be confident using Microsoft Office applications, comfortable managing competing priorities and able to communicate clearly with internal and external contacts. Experience within events administration, hospitality, venue hire or a customer-facing environment would be advantageous, although a positive, organised and proactive approach will be equally important.

This is a full-time position, working 40 hours per week, 52 weeks per year. The role requires a degree of flexibility to support occasional events outside standard working hours. Where this is required, working hours will be adjusted accordingly, and time worked will be taken back in agreement with the Commercial Events Manager.
