Job Summary

We are seeking a detail-oriented and organised Bookkeeper/Administrator to join our team. This role involves managing financial records, supporting administrative functions, and ensuring the smooth operation of our office. The ideal candidate will have experience with various accounting software programmes and possess excellent organisational skills to handle multiple tasks efficiently. This position offers an opportunity to contribute to a dynamic organisation while developing your professional skills in finance and administration.

Responsibilities

Maintain accurate financial records using accounting software such as QuickBooks, Sage, or Xero
Manage accounts payable and receivable processes, ensuring timely payments and invoicing
Reconcile bank statements and prepare financial reports for management review
Support administrative duties including filing, data entry, and correspondence management
Assist with payroll processing and employee expense claims
Prepare VAT returns and other statutory financial documentation as required
Liaise with external accountants or auditors during financial audits or reviews
Organise and maintain organised filing systems for financial documents and administrative records

Qualifications

Proven experience as a Bookkeeper or in a similar administrative role specialising in finance
Proficiency in accounting software such as QuickBooks, Sage, or Xero is essential
Strong understanding of accounts payable processes and general ledger management
Excellent organisational skills with the ability to prioritise tasks effectively
Attention to detail and accuracy in data entry and financial reporting
Good communication skills, both written and verbal
Ability to work independently and as part of a team
Relevant qualifications in accounting, finance, or administration are desirable but not essential

Pay: £12.71-£14.00 per hour
