About the Role

Are you a people person who enjoys making a real difference? Calderdale Council’s Customer First team is looking for a motivated and customer focused individual to support residents across our services.

In this role, you’ll:

Be the first point of contact for customers, guiding and solving problems.
Handle a variety of enquiries, from everyday questions to complex challenges, with full training provided.
Grow your skills with opportunities to handle phone, live chat, email, and social media interactions.

We want someone who can:

Communicate clearly and adapt their style to every customer.
Solve problems quickly and confidently.
Use technology with confidence and learn new systems with ease.
Organise, multitask, and work accurately in a busy environment.
Deliver excellent customer service with genuine passion.

Qualifications: NVQ Level 2 in Customer Service or equivalent experience in a customer focused role is desirable.

This role is based in the UK. Home Office guidance states that candidates must evidence their right to work in the UK prior to commencing employment, either as a UK or Irish citizen, under the EU Settlement scheme or having secured any other relevant work visa.
