Full job description

Job Summary
We are seeking a friendly and efficient Front of House to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for delivering excellent customer service, preparing and serving food and beverages, and maintaining a clean and welcoming environment. This role offers an opportunity to develop skills in food safety, barista techniques, and customer service within a vibrant café setting. Previous experience in a similar role is advantageous but not essential, as training will be provided.

Duties

Prepare and serve a variety of hot and cold beverages, including coffee, tea, and speciality drinks, adhering to company standards.
Assist customers with menu selections, take orders accurately, and process payments efficiently.
Ensure all food safety standards are maintained at all times, including proper handling and storage of food items.
Assist in food preparation tasks such as assembling sandwiches or salads as required.
Maintain cleanliness of workstations, equipment, and dining areas to ensure a hygienic environment.
Manage stock levels of supplies and notify management when replenishments are needed.
Provide excellent customer service by greeting guests warmly and addressing any enquiries or concerns promptly.
Follow time management practices to ensure smooth operation during busy periods.

Experience

Previous barista experience or working in a food service environment is desirable but not mandatory.
Knowledge of food safety regulations and best practices is beneficial.
Experience in serving customers efficiently while maintaining professionalism is preferred.
Basic maths skills for handling cash transactions accurately.
Strong time management skills to prioritise tasks effectively during shifts. This role offers an engaging environment for those passionate about hospitality and eager to enhance their skills within the food service industry.
