About the Role

As a Waking Night Support Worker, you'll play a vital role in creating a safe, calm and secure environment throughout the night. You'll provide reassurance to our young people, respond appropriately to any situations that arise and ensure the home remains a safe and supportive place while maintaining the highest standards of care.

Working closely with the wider team, you'll help ensure a smooth transition between day and night shifts while contributing to positive outcomes for every child in our care.

Your Responsibilities

Monitor the safety, wellbeing and welfare of young people throughout the night.
Complete regular welfare checks and maintain accurate records.
Respond calmly and professionally to incidents or emergencies.
Follow individual care plans, risk assessments and established routines.
Provide emotional support and reassurance whenever needed.
Maintain a safe, clean and secure home environment.
Complete daily records and handovers to ensure continuity of care.
Work in line with safeguarding procedures, company policies and Ofsted standards.

About You

We're looking for someone who is caring, resilient and committed to making a positive difference.

You'll ideally have:

Experience working with children and young people, ideally within residential childcare or with those who have emotional and behavioural difficulties (preferred).
A Level 3 Diploma in Residential Childcare or an equivalent qualification (preferred).
A calm, professional and dependable approach.
The ability to work independently while remaining vigilant and proactive.
Excellent communication, observation and record-keeping skills.
A genuine passion for supporting children to achieve positive outcomes.
A full UK driving licence (desirable).
