Full job description

Are you organised, friendly and approachable, with a positive attitude and excellent attention to detail?

Northway House is looking for a professional and reliable Part-Time Administrator to join our friendly and supportive team.

About Northway House

Northway House is a warm and welcoming residential care home in Taunton, supporting up to 30 people with their everyday lives.

We are proud to provide a caring and homely environment where the people we support feel safe, valued and respected. Our staff team is friendly, supportive and close-knit, and we believe in working together as one team.

About the Role

As our Administrator, you will play an important role in supporting the smooth day-to-day running of the home. You will work closely with the management and care team, as well as families, healthcare professionals and external organisations.

Your responsibilities will include:

Answering telephone calls and dealing with enquiries in a friendly and professional manner
Managing emails and day-to-day correspondence
Liaising with GPs, doctors, surgeries, families and other healthcare professionals
Processing and organising invoices and administrative paperwork
Liaising with training providers and arranging staff training
Arranging appointments and team meetings
Maintaining accurate records and documentation
Providing general administrative support to the management and care team
Assisting with other administrative duties as required

About You

We are looking for someone who is:

Friendly, approachable and professional
Highly organised and reliable
Confident communicating by telephone, email and face-to-face
Able to manage their workload and prioritise tasks effectively
Professional and discreet when handling confidential information
Comfortable communicating with families, healthcare professionals and external organisations
A positive and supportive team player
Flexible and willing to assist with a variety of administrative duties

Previous administrative experience is desirable, ideally within a care, healthcare or similar environment. However, we are also happy to consider candidates with transferable skills who demonstrate the right attitude, professionalism and willingness to learn.
