Position: Warehouse Operative

Overview

Employment of London Limited is looking for reliable and hardworking Warehouse Operatives to join our team in Cannock. You will play an important role in the day-to-day running of the warehouse, helping to ensure goods are received, stored, picked, packed and dispatched accurately and efficiently.

This is a hands-on role suited to candidates who are organised, physically capable and able to work effectively in a busy warehouse environment while following health and safety procedures.

Responsibilities

Receive, unload and check incoming goods against delivery documentation
Pick and pack customer orders accurately and efficiently
Load and unload goods safely using appropriate equipment
Move and organise stock throughout the warehouse
Check products for damage, quantity and quality
Label, sort and prepare goods for dispatch
Maintain accurate stock records and report discrepancies
Keep warehouse areas clean, organised and free from hazards
Follow company health and safety procedures at all times
Work as part of a team to meet daily productivity and dispatch targets
Assist with general warehouse duties as required

Experience & Skills

Previous warehouse, logistics or distribution experience is desirable
Good attention to detail and accuracy
Ability to work in a fast-paced warehouse environment
Physically fit and able to carry out manual handling duties safely
Reliable, punctual and willing to work as part of a team
Good communication and organisational skills
Ability to follow instructions and workplace procedures
Previous experience using warehouse management or stock control systems is an advantage
Forklift experience/certification is desirable but not essential, depending on the position
