Job Overview

We are seeking enthusiastic and personable individuals to join our team as Bar Staff. This role involves providing excellent customer service in a lively hospitality environment, ensuring guests enjoy their experience while maintaining high standards of food safety and cleanliness. The ideal candidate will have a passion for hospitality, good organisational skills, and the ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced setting. This paid position offers an excellent opportunity to develop skills within the hospitality industry and be part of a dynamic team.

Responsibilities

Serve drinks and refreshments to customers in a courteous and professional manner
Take orders accurately and efficiently, ensuring prompt service
Maintain cleanliness of the bar area, including wiping down surfaces and restocking supplies
Ensure compliance with food safety standards and responsible alcohol service regulations
Handle cash and card transactions accurately using the POS system
Assist in setting up and clearing tables as required during busy periods
Engage with customers to create a welcoming atmosphere and promote specials or events
Follow all health and safety procedures to ensure a safe environment for both staff and guests

Experience

Previous experience in hospitality or restaurant service is desirable but not essential, as training will be provided
Knowledge of food safety standards is advantageous
Experience in serving or bartending roles will be beneficial but not mandatory
Good time management skills to handle multiple tasks during busy periods
Ability to work well within a team and communicate effectively with colleagues and customers
Basic maths skills for handling transactions accurately
