Overview
We are seeking a skilled and passionate Grill Chef to join our culinary team at hour shop inside Tooting Makert. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in food preparation and cooking, with experience working in busy restaurant environments. This role offers an exciting opportunity to showcase your culinary talents, contribute to a vibrant dining atmosphere, and deliver exceptional meals to our valued guests. A commitment to food safety and hygiene standards is essential, along with the ability to work efficiently under pressure.

Duties

Prepare and cook a variety of grilled dishes according to established recipes and standards
Ensure all food is prepared fresh, presented attractively, and served promptly
Maintain cleanliness and organisation of the grill station and surrounding work areas
Monitor food quality during preparation and cooking processes
Follow all food safety regulations and hygiene procedures diligently
Assist in menu planning and suggest new ideas for grilled dishes
Collaborate with front-of-house staff to ensure smooth service delivery
Manage stock levels, restock ingredients, and report shortages promptly
Contribute to a positive team environment by supporting colleagues during busy periods

Qualifications

Proven experience in food preparation and cooking, preferably within a restaurant setting
Strong knowledge of culinary techniques related to grilling and meal preparation
Familiarity with food safety standards and best practices in hygiene management
Previous experience working in a busy kitchen environment is desirable
Excellent organisational skills with the ability to prioritise tasks effectively
Good communication skills and the ability to work well within a team
Passion for delivering high-quality food and exceptional customer service
