An exciting opportunity has arisen to join our team here at The Castle Pantry located beside Highcliffe Castle

Set in the middle of seven miles of golden sands, Highcliffe is an iconic landmark with views of the Isle of Wight in the east to Studland and the isle of Purbeck in the west

Fantastic opportunity for a Chef looking to make the next step into a venue with huge opportunities and the satellite kiosks around the gardens. The Castle café and the satellite kiosk are situated on the iconic Highcliffe Castle grounds and open 7 days a week.

The café serves all day breakfast, light lunch, afternoon teas, cream tea, selection of cakes, sandwiches to take in or take out.

Operations runs 7 days a week, predominantly from 8:00 a.m. until 17:00 p.m. - No Evenings or Late finish.

What are we looking for

Chef / Cook that can help the kitchen team on busy days to produce food to the highest standards. This is a fixed term contract, running from March to Mid September - With possibility to extension at the end of the term.

You will…

Work very closely with the head chef and rest of the kitchen team
Maintain high standards of food service.
Be able to adapt to the fluctuations on demand.
Prepare and cook a variety of dishes, ensuring high quality and presentation standards
Follow recipes and adhere to food safety regulations
Maintain a clean and organized kitchen environment
Ensure compliance with health and safety regulations

Are you…

Used to working in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail?
Happy to learn new skills?
Organised?
Do you have the ability to plan, prioritise & organise your work?
Passionate to make the most of your job in a positive and fun way?
Experienced as a Chef or Cook in a restaurant or similar setting?
Strong on your culinary skills, including food preparation techniques and cooking methods?
Knowledgeable of food safety practices and regulations?
Able to work well within a team?
