Job Overview

We are seeking a dynamic and skilled Workshop Mechanic to join our maintenance team! In this energetic role, you will be responsible for diagnosing, repairing, and maintaining a variety of heavy equipment and machinery to ensure optimal performance and safety. Your expertise in mechanical systems, electrical components, and fabrication will drive the success of our workshop operations. This position offers an exciting opportunity to work with diverse tools and equipment, contribute to team efficiency, and uphold high standards of quality and safety.

Responsibilities

Perform detailed inspections, troubleshooting, and repairs on heavy machinery such as excavators, forklifts, and other construction equipment.
Conduct fabrication, welding, soldering, and assembly tasks to modify or repair equipment components.
Interpret schematics, technical manuals, and electrical diagrams to accurately diagnose issues.
Use hand tools, power tools, welding equipment, and other workshop tools to complete repairs efficiently.
Maintain accurate records of maintenance activities, repairs performed, and parts used.
Ensure all work complies with safety regulations and quality standards.
Assist with routine maintenance tasks to prevent equipment breakdowns and extend machinery lifespan.

Qualifications

Proven experience in mechanical repair, equipment fabrication, welding, soldering, and electrical troubleshooting.
Strong knowledge of schematics, electrical systems, and mechanical components.
Proficiency in using hand tools, power tools, welding machines, and fabrication equipment.
Ability to lift heavy objects safely during heavy lifting tasks.
Familiarity with operating heavy machinery such as excavators and forklifts is preferred.
Excellent problem-solving skills with a keen eye for detail.
Strong customer service orientation when interacting with team members or clients regarding repairs or maintenance needs.
