Job Overview

We are seeking a talented and dedicated Chef to join our dynamic culinary team. The ideal candidate will possess a passion for food, excellent leadership skills, and a strong background in kitchen operations. This role involves overseeing food preparation, ensuring high standards of food safety, and managing a team of kitchen staff to deliver exceptional dining experiences. The Chef will play a vital role in maintaining the organisation’s reputation for quality and innovation in cuisine.

Duties

Lead and supervise the kitchen team to ensure efficient food production and service.
Prepare, cook, and present a variety of dishes according to established recipes and standards.
Oversee all aspects of food safety, hygiene, and cleanliness within the kitchen environment.
Manage inventory levels, order supplies, and ensure proper storage of ingredients.
Develop new menus and recipes in collaboration with management to keep offerings fresh and appealing.
Train and mentor junior staff to enhance their culinary skills and professional development.
Ensure that all food served meets quality standards and customer expectations.
Coordinate with front-of-house staff to ensure smooth service delivery.
Maintain a organised kitchen environment that complies with health and safety regulations.

Requirements

Proven experience in a similar role within a restaurant or hospitality setting.
Supervising experience with the ability to lead and motivate a team effectively.
Strong background in food production, preparation, and cooking techniques.
Knowledge of food safety standards and best practices in hygiene management.
Excellent organisational skills with the ability to manage multiple tasks efficiently.
Leadership qualities with a proactive approach to problem-solving.
Experience in menu development and culinary innovation is desirable.
Good communication skills to liaise effectively with team members and management.
Previous experience in hospitality or restaurant environments is preferred.

Pay: £13.00-£14.00 per hour
