Full job description

We are an Independent, Award Winning Coffee Shop located in Donaghadee. We pride ourselves on providing Great Food, Coffee & Customer Service to everyone that visits.

Overview:

We are seeking a Barista to join our team

- Part time / Casual hours

- Circa 16h per week, likely 2 days during the week and 1 weekend day however may change

- Extra hours available covering holidays etc.

- Immediate start available.

You will play a crucial role in creating an inviting atmosphere for our customers while preparing high-quality beverages.

Shifts & Hours typically vary however we are open 09:00 - 16:00 Wednesday to Sunday & usually only open Monday & Tuesday if there are bank holidays.

All of our staff benefit from Tips which we pay weekly. Typically working out around £1 to 1.50 extra per hour.

Duties

Prepare and serve a variety of hot and cold beverages, including coffee, tea, and specialised drinks
Provide excellent customer service by greeting customers warmly and taking their orders accurately.
Ensure all food safety standards are adhered to at all times
Maintain cleanliness of workstations, equipment, and dining areas in accordance with health regulations
Assist in food preparation tasks as required, including assembling snacks or light meals
Manage cash & till operations with accuracy using basic maths skills
Restock supplies and organise stock to ensure smooth service flow
Manage time effectively during peak hours to minimise wait times and optimise customer satisfaction

Qualifications

Previous barista experience
Knowledge of food safety standards; training will be provided for the right candidate
Experience in serving customers in a fast-paced environment
Basic food preparation skills
Good time management skills to handle busy periods efficiently
Ability to perform basic maths accurately for transactions and stock management
Friendly, approachable manner with excellent communication skills
Ability to work well within a team and adapt to changing priorities
