Full job description

We are currently seeking a reliable and motivated GP Receptionist to join our busy and friendly team, providing essential front-line support across our three practice sites. You will be the first point of contact for patients, providing excellent customer service and supporting the smooth operation of the practice.

Location: Brockham, Newdigate, North Holmwood
Hours: Shift work – Monday 1:00pm to 6:30pm, Wednesday 7:45am to 1:15pm, Thursday 1:00pm to 6:30pm and Friday 1:00pm to 6:30pm.

Key Responsibilities:

Answering and managing incoming calls, booking patient appointments, and handling patient inquiries
Greeting patients warmly and efficiently, ensuring a positive experience
Updating patient records accurately using our computer system
Handling general administrative duties
Managing patient check-ins and coordinating with healthcare professionals
Maintaining patient confidentiality and adhering to data protection policies
Organising and prioritising your own tasks and workload effectively
Supporting the team across all three practice sites as needed

Key Skills and Requirements:

Essential: Ability to drive and have your own car for travel between the practice sites
Strong computer literacy and the willingness to learn new systems
Excellent communication skills, with the ability to interact professionally with patients and colleagues
Good organisational skills, with the ability to manage your time and workload efficiently
Ability to work well both independently and as part of a multidisciplinary team
Previous experience in a medical or customer service setting is an advantage, but not required
A proactive and professional attitude with the ability to work under pressure
