Job Overview

Property Acquisitions Executive -Greater Manchester

12 month Fixed term contract with option to become permanent.

£28,000–£30,000 Basic Salary + Uncapped Commission

Help build one of Greater Manchester's leading housing providers.

Manchester Housing Group works in partnership with Local Authorities across Greater Manchester, providing high-quality accommodation for individuals and families in housing need.

As part of our continued growth, we're looking for a Property Acquisitions Executive to help expand our portfolio by building long-term relationships with landlords and securing high-quality residential properties.

This isn't a typical estate agency or sales role.

We don't measure success by how many deals you can squeeze through.

We measure success by building relationships, making good commercial decisions and securing the right properties that strengthen our portfolio for years to come.

Knowledge or experience of Social Housing would be a benefit -giving a candidate a head start.

About the Role

You'll become the face of Manchester Housing Group for prospective landlords across Greater Manchester.

Using company-generated enquiries, targeted marketing campaigns and relationship-building, you'll guide landlords through our structured acquisition process—from the initial enquiry through to agreement in principle—before handing the property over to our Operations Team for onboarding.

You'll be joining an established business with proven systems, clear processes and a dedicated operational team. Your role isn't to reinvent the wheel—it's to represent Manchester Housing Group professionally, follow our acquisition framework and consistently deliver high-quality properties that meet our standards.

What You'll Be Doing

Property Acquisitions

Manage enquiries from prospective landlords.
Build relationships with landlords, investors, estate agents and developers.
Conduct property viewings across Greater Manchester.
Assess properties against company criteria.
Negotiate lease agreements within company guidelines.
Consistently secure suitable new properties each month that meet our quality standards.

Relationship Management

Build trust with landlords from the very first conversation.
Become a long-term point of contact throughout the acquisition process.
Deliver an exceptional customer experience.
Build relationships that generate repeat business and referrals.

Commercial Assessment

This role is about far more than sales.

You'll be responsible for assessing:

Property suitability.
Landlord suitability.
Property readiness.
Commercial viability.
Compliance position.
Whether opportunities should progress through our acquisition process.

Sometimes the right decision is not to proceed—and we're looking for someone with the confidence and judgement to make those decisions.

Process & Quality

You'll follow Manchester Housing Group's structured acquisition system to ensure every property progresses smoothly through onboarding.

This includes:

Gathering accurate information.
Managing landlord expectations.
Obtaining required documentation.
Completing acquisition paperwork.
Delivering high-quality handovers to our Operations Team.

Essential Requirements

Full UK Driving Licence.

Experience within property is advantageous but not essential, as full training will be provided.
