Full job description

Job Summary
We are seeking a friendly and professional Bartender to join our vibrant hospitality team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for creating a welcoming atmosphere, preparing and serving beverages, and ensuring guests have an enjoyable experience. This role requires excellent customer service skills, attention to detail, and the ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment. Previous experience in a restaurant or bar setting is preferred, along with a strong understanding of food safety and responsible service. The successful applicant will contribute to the overall success of our establishment by delivering outstanding service and maintaining high standards of cleanliness and safety.

Duties

Prepare and serve alcoholic and non-alcoholic beverages in accordance with company standards
Take orders from guests promptly and accurately, ensuring excellent customer service
Maintain cleanliness of the bar area, including glassware, utensils, and work surfaces
Check identification to verify legal drinking age and adhere to licensing laws
Manage stock levels, restock supplies as needed, and assist with inventory control
Handle cash transactions accurately using the POS system
Engage with guests in a friendly manner to create a welcoming environment
Follow all food safety regulations and company policies to ensure guest safety and satisfaction
Collaborate with team members to ensure smooth operation during busy periods

Experience

Previous experience in hospitality or food service is highly desirable, particularly within a restaurant or bar setting
Knowledge of food safety standards and responsible alcohol service is beneficial
Strong skills in serving customers efficiently while maintaining professionalism
Good organisational skills with the ability to manage time effectively during peak hours
Basic maths skills for handling transactions accurately
Ability to work well under pressure in a lively environment
Excellent communication skills and a personable demeanour are essential for creating positive guest interactions
