Over the last eight years, Company Bakery has evolved from a humble setup with one full-time baker and a part-time delivery driver to a dynamic team of over 90 employees. We now deliver bread and pastries to over businesses across Scotland. As a cornerstone of the Scottish food scene, we are excited to expand our offerings through our on-site cafe and external markets. Our cafe features large windows into the production space, showcasing our bakers at work. You'll help create an environment where customers can appreciate the skill and passion that goes into every product, from ingredients to production.

We’ve taken meaningful steps towards our sustainability goals, including operating an electric fleet of vans and partnering with ZeroWaste Scotland to further reduce our environmental impact. In addition to our environmental efforts, we’re proud to introduce a new wellbeing package for our team.

Job Summary:

We are seeking Front of House team members to join our team and deliver exceptional service at our on-site cafe at Eskmills, as well as opportunities to work at external markets and events. The ideal candidate will have outstanding customer service, barista experience, a passion for good food, maintain cleanliness and organisation in the cafe and contribute to the overall efficiency of operations.

You will work in a dynamic environment, where no two days are the same.

Key Responsibilities:

Greet all customers in a friendly and professional manner.
Work hard to remain knowledgeable about products and share our passion for great food.
Take and process customer orders accurately and efficiently, ensuring special requests and dietary restrictions are accommodated.
Prepare and serve beverages, including coffee, tea and specialty drinks, following recipes and presentation standards.
Serve food items, such as pastries, sandwiches and other baked goods with attention to detail and presentation.
Handle cash and card transactions, operate the POS system, and maintain accurate records of sales.
Maintain cleanliness and sanitation standards in all areas of the cafe.
Monitor and replenish supplies to ensure smooth service flow.
Communicate effectively with other team members to ensure timely order delivery and customer satisfaction.
Respond promptly to customer inquiries, concerns and feedback, striving to resolve issues and exceed expectations independently.
Uphold cafe policies and procedures, including health and safety regulations.

Qualifications:

Previous experience in a Front of House position, with a focus on food and beverage service.
Previous experience as a barista in a busy hospitality environment.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
Strong multitasking abilities, with the capacity to handle a fast-paced environment and prioritise tasks effectively.
Attention to detail and a commitment to maintaining high standards of cleanliness and hygiene.
Flexibility to work varied shifts, including weekends and holidays, based on the needs of the cafe.
A positive attitude, teamwork mindset, and passion for delivering exceptional service.
Full, clean driving licence preferred.

Pay: £13.45 per hour
