Full job description

Forfar Golf Club are seeking a skilled and motivated Chef de Partie to join the team. This is a hands-on, fast-paced role delivering a high-quality, modern food offering across clubhouse dining for members and visitors alike, as well as supporting the continued growth of our new restaurant, Rig & Furrow.

The successful candidate will take ownership of their section, maintain excellent standards, and contribute to a food experience that reflects both the club’s heritage and evolving hospitality ambitions. Working across both the clubhouse and The Rig & Furrow, you’ll play an important role in shaping a fresh, contemporary dining experience for members, guests, and the wider local community.

Key Responsibilities:

Ability to run a kitchen section confidently during service
Prepare, cook, and present dishes to consistently high standards
Support seasonal menu development and event preparation
Ensure full compliance with food safety, hygiene, and HACCP procedures
Maintain excellent cleanliness, organisation, and portion control
Assist with ordering, stock rotation, and minimising waste
Work collaboratively with the wider F&B team to deliver reliable, professional service

About You

We’re looking for someone who:

Has their NVQ / SVQ Level 2 in Professional Cookery (or equivalent experience)
Experience as a Chef de Partie or strong Commis ready to step up
Ability to run a section independently
Strong attention to detail and consistency
Positive, team-focused attitude
Flexibility to work evenings, weekends, and event days (annualised hours contract)
Level 2 Food Safety & Hygiene Certificate

Hours:

Annualised hours contracts, rota-based shifts including evenings and weekends
