Job Summary

We are seeking a friendly and organised Dental Receptionist to join our dental practice. The successful candidate will be the first point of contact for patients, providing exceptional customer service and ensuring smooth daily operations. This role offers an excellent opportunity for individuals with office and administrative experience to contribute to a welcoming environment dedicated to patient care. Responsibilities

Greet patients warmly and professionally upon arrival, creating a positive first impression
Manage appointment scheduling, confirmations, and rescheduling efficiently using practice management software
Answer phone calls, respond to enquiries, and direct calls appropriately
Handle patient check-in and check-out procedures with accuracy and attention to detail
Maintain accurate patient records and update information as required
Process payments, including insurance claims and billing, ensuring confidentiality at all times
Support the dental team with administrative tasks such as filing, data entry, and correspondence
Ensure the reception area remains tidy, welcoming, and well-stocked with necessary supplies
Assist in managing patient flow to minimise wait times and optimise appointment schedules

Qualifications

Previous office or administrative experience is preferred but not essential; training will be provided
Strong organisational skills with the ability to multitask effectively in a busy environment
Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written
Friendly demeanour with a professional attitude towards patient care
Proficiency in using office software programmes such as Microsoft Office or similar applications
Ability to work well within a team and adapt to changing priorities
Attention to detail and confidentiality in handling sensitive patient information
