Full job description

We are looking for an enthusiastic person to join our team.

Agamemnon is an ambitious and forward thinking housing association serving the veteran community in the Solent area. Our ambition is to be a great place to work, where talented and ambitious people enjoy rewarding and fulfilling careers in an inspirational environment.

You will be part of the team that will be responsible for the delivery of planned and reactive maintenance services to our customers around their home, the scheme and support H&S obligations to help customers stay safe & independent.

You should have experience of general maintenance or have a recognised trade qualification.

Additionally, you should have knowledge of using a computer,are confident in dealing with a range of people with differing needs and committed to producing good results in day-to-day tasks. Be physically active and hold a full driving licence with the use of a reliable car.

This post is subject to a basic level Disclosure and Barring Service (DBS) check.
What you need to be successful
You should have experience of general maintenance or have a recognised trade qualification.
Experience of working with a broad range of tenants from the elderly, frail to tenants with disabilities.
As the role entails working in different local locations from Gosport, Portsmouth to Southsea a driving license will be needed.
An understanding of how to use computer applications, to make sure records are kept accurate and up to date. Are committed to producing good results in day-to-day tasks. Be physically active.

There will also be a requirement to support any on call emergencies.

You will be part of the team that will be responsible for the delivery of planned and reactive maintenance services to our customers around their home, the scheme and support H&S obligations to help customers stay safe & independent.
To carry out agreed tasks in a manner that respects the rights, wishes & dignity of tenants whilst promoting their wellbeing and safety.
Work collaboratively with other colleagues, to ensure safe outcomes for our tenants.

What you are known for
Be a great team player and the ability to work on your own with good communication skills. Takes ownership for solving maintenance problems within your own area of responsibility.
Interacts well with all colleagues and tenants considering their diverse needs and be able to deals with tenants fairly and equitably. Take ownership for delivery of work and ensures own targets are completed and informing colleagues of progress on key tasks. Flexible and adjusts to highs and lows of workloads and can cover for colleagues when needed. You are punctual, reliable, polite and approachable and always gives their best with a positive outlook.
