Full job description

We're looking for an experienced Client Services Manager or Marketing Account Manager with agency experience and a proven track record for building
long-term client relationships.

If this sounds like you, there’s an opportunity to join our award-winning digital marketing agency Sowden & Sowden. Working across a diverse portfolio of clients, we're looking for a confident, organised and proactive marketing professional with at least 3-4 years' experience and the ability to manage multiple projects with ease.

You’ll help us bring our strategic campaigns to life across a range of sectors and disciplines and you’ll be a problem solver, glass half full kind of person with an innovative mindset to help us grow and develop our existing clients.

This role offers a clear pathway for career progression, with opportunities to develop your strategic client leadership skills, take ownership of larger and more complex accounts and progress into an advanced position as the agency continues to grow.

Your day-to-day

You’ll be responsible for being the central point of contact for a range of clients, ensuring they get the best possible service, as well as creating and interpreting briefs, planning work into our production department, working with our creative studio and managing projects end-to-end to meet tight deadlines whilst maintaining our excellent standard of work.

We’re looking for someone who can forge strong relationships, both internally and externally with experience of working within a fast-paced environment e.g. experience in a marketing department or as in-house as a marketing manager, however it will be most advantageous for the candidate to have direct digital marketing agency experience.

You’ll have the following skills…

Experience developing and maintaining strong client relationships, negotiating effectively and delivering the best possible outcomes for clients
A commitment to providing exceptional client service, always going the extra mile to exceed expectations
Broad marketing knowledge across different audiences, sectors and communication channels
Experience in marketing strategy, campaign planning, proofing, copywriting, creative thinking, campaign delivery and reporting
Experience supporting the delivery of digital marketing activity and web-based projects would be advantageous
A collaborative approach with the ability to manage your own workload, priorities and deadlines effectively
Confidence working with senior stakeholders and presenting updates and recommendations at director level
Strong organisational skills, attention to detail and the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously

What you’ll be doing

Act as the day-to-day contact for a portfolio of clients, building trusted relationships and delivering an exceptional client experience
Develop a deep understanding of your clients' organisations, audiences, objectives and challenges
Manage marketing projects and integrated campaigns from initial brief through to delivery, ensuring work is completed on time, on budget and to the highest standard
Lead client meetings, status calls, campaign reviews and regular communications, ensuring clients remain informed and engaged throughout projects
Develop clear, strategic briefs and work closely with our creative, digital and production teams to deliver effective marketing solutions
Present campaign plans, creative ideas, results and recommendations with confidence
Support the planning and delivery of campaigns across social media, content, PR, branding, advertising and digital channels
Spot opportunities to grow client accounts, introduce new services and add value through fresh thinking and proactive recommendations
Contribute creative ideas and strategic thinking that help clients achieve their objectives and drive long-term success

Digital & marketing understanding

You don't need to be a digital specialist – we have a dedicated Digital team to support our clients - but you'll need a good understanding of the wider marketing landscape and how different channels work together.

A broad understanding of the role digital marketing plays within an integrated marketing strategy
Ability to understand client objectives and help translate them into effective digital and social media briefs
Confident reviewing digital activity and asking the right questions to ensure it aligns with client goals
Strong collaborator who enjoys working alongside specialists to deliver the best outcomes for clients

AI & Innovation

You must be curious about emerging technologies, and the role AI can play in modern marketing
Confident using AI tools to support research, planning and productivity
Open to learning new technologies and identifying opportunities to improve client campaigns and internal ways of working
Excited by innovation and bringing fresh thinking to clients
