About the role

Support adults with learning disabilities to live fulfilling, independent and meaningful lives.

We are looking for compassionate, reliable and motivated Residential Care Workers to join our dedicated team, providing high-quality, person-centred care and support to adults with learning disabilities. Working as part of a supportive team, you will help create a safe, welcoming and inclusive environment where residents are encouraged to develop independence, build confidence and participate fully in their home and local community.

Working Pattern

The role requires candidates to work shifts on a rolling rota basis, Monday to Sunday.

Early shifts: 07:30 to 15:00
Late shifts: 14:00 to 22:00

You Will

Deliver high-quality, person-centred care and support in line with individual care plans.
Support residents with personal care, daily living skills and community activities.
Encourage residents to develop independence and participate in social and recreational opportunities.
Build positive relationships with residents, families, advocates and partner agencies.
Act as a Link Worker for allocated residents, supporting reviews and care planning.
Monitor residents' wellbeing and report any concerns or changes.
Administer medication in accordance with Council policies, where trained and authorised.
Maintain accurate records and contribute to care reviews and assessments.
Promote a safe, clean and homely environment for residents.
Work collaboratively with colleagues to deliver high standards of care and support.

Has experience working in a health or social care setting.
Is passionate about supporting adults with learning disabilities.
Has excellent communication and teamwork skills.
Is caring, patient and committed to promoting dignity, choice and independence.
Can build positive relationships with residents, families and professionals.
Is organised, reliable and able to maintain accurate records.
Is committed to safeguarding, equality and delivering person-centred care.
