Overview

We are seeking a friendly and efficient Part-time Barista to join our vibrant team. The ideal candidate will have a passion for delivering excellent customer service and creating high-quality beverages in a fast-paced environment. This role offers flexible hours suitable for students, part-time workers, or those seeking supplementary income. The successful applicant will be responsible for preparing and serving a variety of hot and cold drinks, maintaining cleanliness, and ensuring customers enjoy a welcoming experience.

Responsibilities

Prepare and serve a range of coffee, tea, and other beverages in accordance with company standards
Take customer orders accurately and efficiently, ensuring prompt service
Maintain cleanliness of the coffee station, equipment, and dining area to meet food safety standards
Handle cash register operations and process payments accurately
Restock supplies as needed to ensure smooth operation during shifts
Provide friendly and attentive service to all customers, addressing any special requests or dietary needs
Follow health and safety procedures diligently, including food safety protocols
Assist with food preparation tasks when required, such as assembling light snacks or pastries

Skills

Previous barista experience is preferred but not essential; training will be provided for the right candidate
Knowledge of food safety standards and procedures
Experience in serving customers with excellent communication skills
Basic maths skills for handling cash transactions and measuring ingredients
Ability to manage time effectively during busy periods to ensure timely service
Strong organisational skills to keep work areas tidy and stocked
Ability to work efficiently within a team while maintaining a positive attitude
Flexibility to adapt to changing priorities and customer demands
