Job Summary

Be part of one of Newcastle's most exciting new restaurant openings.

NIPO is a brand-new premium dining concept, combining the bold flavours of Brazil with the elegance and precision of Japanese cuisine. Opening soon on Newcastle Quayside, we are looking for an exceptional Assistant Manager to help launch and establish a truly unique dining experience.

This is not a typical Assistant Manager role. This is an opportunity to be part of building a brand-new premium restaurant from the ground up, helping to shape the service culture, operational standards and guest experience from day one.

Working alongside the General Manager, you will play a key role in leading the front-of-house team, delivering exceptional service, developing future talent and ensuring every guest leaves with an unforgettable experience.

What We're Looking For

An experienced Assistant Manager or an ambitious Supervisor ready to take the next step.
A passion for hospitality and delivering exceptional guest experiences.
A confident leader who motivates and inspires teams by leading from the front.
Excellent communication and organisational skills.
Strong attention to detail and a commitment to maintaining the highest standards.
Experience managing busy service periods in a premium restaurant environment.
The ability to coach, develop and support team members to reach their full potential.
A proactive, hands-on approach with a positive attitude.
Commercial awareness, with experience supporting labour control, stock management and achieving business targets.
Experience within premium restaurants, steakhouses, Japanese dining or luxury hospitality would be an advantage.

What You'll Be Responsible For

Supporting the General Manager with the day-to-day operation of the restaurant.
Leading service and ensuring every guest receives exceptional hospitality.
Recruiting, training and developing front-of-house team members.
Maintaining the highest standards of service, cleanliness and presentation.
Supporting labour scheduling, stock control and operational performance.
Handling guest feedback professionally and resolving issues with confidence.
Leading by example and helping to create a positive, high-performing team culture.
