Job Summary

Join our vibrant retail team as a Retail Assistant, where your enthusiasm and dedication will help create an engaging shopping experience for our customers. In this role, you will be the friendly face assisting visitors through our store, assisting with product knowledge, and ensuring the presentation of our merchandise is inviting and organized. Your skills and passion for gardening and horticulture will enhance customer interactions, making every visit memorable. Duties

Greet customers warmly and provide exceptional service to meet their needs
Assist customers with product inquiries related to gardening and horticulture, offering expert advice when needed
Maintain attractive merchandise displays, ensuring products are well-stocked and organized according to merchandising standards
Support inventory management by receiving shipments, updating stock levels, and conducting regular stock checks
Communicate effectively with diverse customers in English and Spanish to enhance their shopping experience
Keep the store environment clean, safe, and welcoming by adhering to organizational standards
Promote gardening products and seasonal items to boost sales and customer satisfaction

Skills

Proficiency in English for effective communication with a diverse customer base
Passion for gardening and horticulture, with knowledge of plant care, tools, and related products
Excellent communication skills to engage confidently with customers and team members
Strong organizational skills to manage stock levels, displays, and store cleanliness efficiently
Ability to work collaboratively in a fast-paced retail setting while maintaining attention to detail
Knowledge of merchandising principles to create appealing product presentations
Enthusiasm for learning about new gardening trends and customer preferences
