Full job description

Overview

We are seeking a friendly and professional Waiter to join our vibrant hospitality team. The successful candidate will be responsible for delivering exceptional guest service, ensuring a memorable dining experience. This role offers an excellent opportunity to develop your skills within a dynamic restaurant environment, where attention to detail and guest satisfaction are paramount. Previous experience in hospitality or restaurant service is preferred, but full training will be provided for the right candidate. The position is paid and suitable for individuals who thrive in fast-paced settings and enjoy working with people.

Responsibilities

Greet guests warmly upon arrival and assist them with seating arrangements.
Take accurate food and beverage orders, ensuring special dietary requirements are noted.
Serve food and drinks efficiently while maintaining high standards of presentation and hygiene.
Provide attentive guest services, addressing any questions or concerns promptly.
Upsell menu items to enhance guest experience and maximise sales opportunities.
Clear tables and assist with the organisation of the dining area to maintain cleanliness and orderliness.
Handle payments accurately using the POS system, including processing cash and card transactions.
Maintain knowledge of menu offerings, including ingredients and food safety standards.
Collaborate with kitchen staff to ensure timely delivery of orders and resolve any issues swiftly.
Uphold food safety regulations and hygiene standards at all times.

Requirements

Previous experience in hospitality or restaurant service is advantageous but not essential; full training will be provided.
Strong communication skills with a friendly, professional manner.
Basic maths skills for handling transactions accurately.
Knowledge of food safety standards and food preparation practices is desirable.
Ability to work efficiently under pressure during busy service periods.
Good organisational skills with effective time management abilities.
A positive attitude with a passion for guest services and creating memorable dining experiences.
Flexibility to work evenings, weekends, or holidays as required by the business needs.
