Full job description

Job Summary
We are looking for someone to provide excellent customer service in a busy pub environment, serving beverages while ensuring a welcoming atmosphere for customers. Handled cash and card transactions accurately, maintained high standards of cleanliness and hygiene, and assisted with opening and closing procedures. worked effectively as part of a team in a fast-paced setting, managing multiple tasks during busy periods and helping to resolve customer queries professionally. Supported stock management, keg changes, and compliance with licensing and health and safety regulations.

Duties

Prepare and serve a variety of beverages to customers in accordance with company standards
Take orders accurately and efficiently, ensuring prompt service
Maintain cleanliness of the bar area, including washing glassware and cleaning surfaces
Check identification to verify legal drinking age and adhere to food safety regulations
Manage cash transactions accurately using the till system
Restock bar supplies as needed to ensure smooth operation during shifts
Engage with customers in a friendly and professional manner, creating a welcoming atmosphere
Follow health and safety procedures at all times to ensure a safe environment for staff and patrons

Qualifications

Previous experience in hospitality or working behind a bar is preferred
Excellent serving skills with a focus on customer satisfaction
Ability to manage multiple tasks efficiently
Basic maths skills for handling cash transactions accurately
Strong time management skills to ensure timely service during busy periods
Ability to work well within a team and communicate effectively with colleagues and customers
A friendly, approachable demeanour with a positive attitude towards work
