Job Overview

Join our dynamic warehouse team as a Warehouse Operative, where your energy and attention to detail will drive the smooth and efficient movement of goods. In this vital role, you'll be responsible for handling materials, operating equipment, and ensuring that all stock is accurately picked, packed, loaded, and received. Your proactive approach will help maintain a safe, organized, and productive warehouse environment. This paid position offers an exciting opportunity to develop your skills in logistics and warehouse management while contributing to a fast-paced operation.

Responsibilities

Handle materials with care, ensuring safe lifting and movement of goods throughout the warehouse.
Operate forklifts and other warehouse equipment safely and efficiently to load and unload shipments.
Use warehouse management systems to track inventory levels, update stock records, and manage order processing.
Prepare items for shipment by picking, packing, and labeling products accurately according to order specifications.
Receive incoming shipments by inspecting deliveries, verifying quantities, and recording receipt details.
Stock shelves systematically, ensuring products are organized for easy access and inventory accuracy.
Conduct quality control checks to identify damaged or defective items and report issues promptly.

Requirements

Previous warehouse experience is preferred but not essential; a strong willingness to learn is valued.
Knowledge of materials handling techniques and mechanical systems used in warehouses.
Valid forklift certification or willingness to obtain certification upon hire.
Familiarity with warehouse management systems or inventory software is advantageous.
Ability to perform heavy lifting safely and efficiently throughout the shift.
Good understanding of shipping & receiving procedures and documentation requirements.
Mechanical knowledge or experience with tools can be beneficial for equipment maintenance tasks.
