Housekeeper, Family Cook & Holiday Childcare Support

Location: Local Family Home

Hours: Monday, Wednesday, Friday. Exact hours can be flexible (typically 12 hours per week) Rate: £20 per hour (self-employed, invoiced monthly)

Contract: Self-employed preferred, with flexibility for additional hours when required

About the Role

We are seeking a reliable, proactive, and trustworthy Housekeeper & Family Cook to help support a busy family home. The role is primarily focused on housekeeping and preparing healthy home-cooked meals, with additional support for children during school holidays.

This position would particularly suit an experienced parent, nanny-housekeeper, home help, or someone who enjoys creating a well-run household environment.

Key Responsibilities

Housekeeping

General cleaning and tidying
Laundry and ironing
Changing bed linen
Maintaining a clean and organised home
Managing household supplies and shopping lists

Family Cooking

Preparing simple, healthy home-cooked meals
Planning nutritious family menus
Food shopping as required
Keeping the kitchen clean and organised
Batch cooking and meal preparation where appropriate

Childcare Support

Providing support with children during school holidays
Assisting with activities and supervision when required
Creating a safe, caring, and positive environment

Essential Requirements

Previous experience in housekeeping, family support, or a similar role
Confident home cook able to prepare healthy everyday meals
Reliable, organised, and trustworthy
Comfortable working independently
Good communication skills
Ability to provide references

Desirable

Parent or previous childcare experience
DBS check (or willingness to obtain one)
Driving licence and own transport

High standards of cleanliness and organisation

What We Offer

£20 per hour
