Job Overview
We are seeking an experienced waiter to join our dynamic hospitality team. The ideal candidate will possess a strong background in guest services and restaurant operations, ensuring a memorable dining experience for all patrons. This role offers an opportunity to showcase your culinary knowledge, excellent communication skills, and passion for delivering exceptional service in a fast-paced environment.

Responsibilities

Greet guests warmly and provide attentive, personalised service throughout their visit
Take accurate food and beverage orders, ensuring timely delivery and presentation
Upsell menu items to enhance guest satisfaction and maximise sales opportunities
Maintain thorough knowledge of the menu, including ingredients and food safety standards
Serve food and drinks efficiently while adhering to health and safety regulations
Assist with basic food preparation when necessary, supporting kitchen staff as required
Manage guest enquiries or complaints professionally, aiming for swift resolution
Handle cash or card transactions accurately and process payments promptly
Keep the dining area clean, organised, and presentable at all times
Collaborate with team members to ensure smooth restaurant operations during busy periods

Qualifications

Proven experience as a waiter in a busy restaurant or hospitality setting
Strong understanding of hospitality principles and guest service excellence
Knowledge of food safety standards and basic food preparation techniques
Ability to perform basic maths accurately for billing and transactions
Experience with kitchen procedures or culinary practices is advantageous
Excellent time management skills with the ability to prioritise tasks effectively
Outstanding communication skills and a friendly demeanour
Ability to work efficiently under pressure in a fast-paced environment
Flexibility to work evenings, weekends, or holidays as required
