Overview

Join our vibrant hospitality team as a Kitchen Porter and become a vital part of delivering exceptional dining experiences! In this energetic role, you will support the kitchen’s daily operations by maintaining cleanliness, assisting with food preparation, and ensuring the kitchen runs smoothly and efficiently. Your enthusiasm and attention to detail will help create a welcoming environment for both staff and guests, contributing to the overall success of our restaurant or hotel establishment. Duties

Maintain cleanliness of all kitchen areas, including floors, work surfaces, equipment, and utensils to uphold health and safety standards
Assist with basic food preparation tasks such as washing vegetables, peeling, chopping, and organizing ingredients for chefs
Support the cooking team by passing ingredients, replenishing supplies, and ensuring kitchen stations are stocked and ready for service
Clear and clean dishes, pots, pans, and utensils promptly during busy service times to keep the kitchen organized
Dispose of waste responsibly and ensure recycling procedures are followed in line with environmental policies
Help with stock rotation, inventory checks, and storing supplies properly to maintain an efficient workflow
Follow all health and safety regulations diligently to ensure a safe working environment for everyone

Requirements

Previous experience in a restaurant, hotel, or hospitality environment is preferred but not essential; enthusiasm to learn is key!
Basic understanding of food preparation techniques and kitchen hygiene standards
Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced setting while maintaining attention to detail
Strong teamwork skills with a positive attitude toward supporting colleagues during busy periods
Flexibility to work various shifts including evenings, weekends, or holidays as needed
Good physical stamina for standing long hours and performing manual tasks throughout your shift
A genuine interest in hospitality and culinary arts with a willingness to develop new skills
