Job Summary

We are seeking a motivated and customer-focused IT Support Engineer to join our team in Birmingham. This is an excellent opportunity for an IT professional who enjoys troubleshooting technical issues, supporting end users, and working with a wide range of technologies. As an IT Support Engineer, you will help maintain reliable IT systems, provide technical assistance, and contribute to a productive and efficient working environment. What You'll Do

Provide first-line and second-line technical support to employees and end users.
Troubleshoot hardware, software, network, printer, and peripheral issues.
Install, configure, and maintain desktops, laptops, mobile devices, and other IT equipment.
Respond to support requests through phone, email, ticketing systems, and in person.
Escalate complex technical issues when necessary while ensuring timely resolution.
Set up user accounts, passwords, and system access permissions.
Assist with Microsoft Windows, Microsoft 365, email, and business applications.
Maintain accurate records of incidents, requests, and technical solutions.
Support routine system maintenance, software updates, and equipment deployment.
Collaborate with internal teams to improve IT services and user experience.
Follow IT security policies and contribute to maintaining a secure technology environment.

Requirements

Previous experience in IT support, help desk, technical support, customer service, or a related role is beneficial but not essential.
Good understanding of computer hardware, software, and basic networking concepts.
Familiarity with Microsoft Windows, Microsoft 365, and common business applications is an advantage.
Strong communication and customer service skills.
Good problem-solving and analytical abilities.
Ability to prioritise tasks and manage multiple support requests.
Willingness to learn new technologies and develop technical skills.
Ability to work independently as well as part of a team.
Relevant IT qualifications or certifications are beneficial but not required.
