Overview

We are seeking a professional and friendly Dental Receptionist to join our dental practice. The successful candidate will be the first point of contact for patients, providing excellent customer service and ensuring the smooth operation of the front desk. This role offers an opportunity to work within a supportive team environment, contributing to patient care and practice efficiency. Previous office and administrative experience are highly valued, along with a warm and welcoming demeanour.

Duties

Greet patients warmly and professionally upon arrival, creating a positive first impression
Manage patient appointments, including scheduling, confirming, and rescheduling as necessary
Handle patient check-in and check-out processes efficiently
Maintain accurate patient records and update information in the practice management system
Answer incoming phone calls promptly, addressing enquiries or redirecting as appropriate
Process payments and organise billing procedures accurately
Assist with administrative tasks such as filing, correspondence, and managing office supplies
Coordinate with dental staff to ensure smooth daily operations
Ensure the reception area remains tidy, welcoming, and well-stocked with relevant materials

Requirements

Previous office experience is essential; experience in a dental or healthcare setting is advantageous
Strong organisational skills with the ability to multitask effectively in a busy environment
Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal
Friendly, professional demeanour with a focus on delivering outstanding customer service
Proficiency in using office software and dental practice management systems
Ability to work well within a team and adapt to changing priorities
Organised approach with attention to detail in record keeping and administrative tasks

Pay: £12.21-£15.00 per hour
