Overview

We are seeking a friendly and dedicated Barista to join our vibrant team. The ideal candidate will be passionate about delivering excellent customer service and creating high-quality beverages in a fast-paced environment. This role offers an opportunity to develop specialised skills in coffee preparation and customer engagement, contributing to a welcoming atmosphere for all patrons. The position is paid and suitable for individuals who enjoy working in a dynamic, team-oriented setting.

Responsibilities

Prepare and serve a variety of hot and cold beverages, including coffee, tea, and specialised drinks, ensuring consistency and quality.
Greet customers warmly, taking orders accurately and efficiently while providing excellent service.
Maintain cleanliness and organisation of the counter area, adhering to food safety standards at all times.
Handle cash transactions accurately and process payments using the point-of-sale system.
Restock supplies as needed, including coffee beans, milk, cups, and utensils to ensure smooth operations throughout shifts.
Follow food safety protocols diligently to uphold hygiene standards within the establishment.
Assist with food preparation tasks when required, such as assembling snacks or light meals.
Manage time effectively during busy periods to serve customers promptly without compromising quality.

Skills

Proven Barista experience or familiarity with coffee-making techniques is preferred.
Knowledge of food safety regulations and best practices in handling food and beverages.
Experience in serving customers with professionalism and friendliness.
Basic food preparation skills for assembling simple menu items or snacks.
Good basic maths skills for handling cash transactions accurately.
Strong time management abilities to prioritise tasks efficiently during busy hours.
Excellent communication skills to engage positively with customers and team members.
