Job Summary

We are seeking an experienced and passionate Chef to lead our culinary team in delivering exceptional dining experiences. The ideal candidate will possess strong leadership skills, extensive culinary expertise, and a thorough understanding of food safety standards. As Chef, you will oversee all aspects of kitchen operations, ensuring high-quality food production, team management, and adherence to health regulations. This role offers an exciting opportunity to shape our menu offerings and maintain the highest standards of hospitality.

Responsibilities

Lead and supervise the kitchen team, fostering a positive and productive working environment
Oversee food preparation and cooking processes to ensure consistency, quality, and presentation standards are met
Manage daily kitchen operations, including inventory control, ordering supplies, and maintaining cleanliness
Develop innovative menus in collaboration with management, considering customer preferences and seasonal ingredients
Ensure compliance with food safety regulations and hygiene standards at all times
Train and mentor junior staff to enhance their culinary skills and professional development
Monitor food costs and optimise utilisation of ingredients to maximise efficiency
Coordinate with front-of-house staff to ensure seamless service delivery
Maintain a high level of customer satisfaction through exceptional food quality and service standards

Qualifications

Proven supervising experience within a professional kitchen environment
Extensive culinary experience with a strong background in food production and preparation
Demonstrated team management skills with the ability to lead, motivate, and develop staff
Solid knowledge of food safety standards and best practices in hygiene management
Previous experience working in a restaurant or hospitality setting is highly desirable
Excellent cooking skills across a variety of cuisines and techniques
Strong leadership qualities with the ability to work under pressure in a fast-paced environment
Good organisational skills with attention to detail in all aspects of kitchen operations
A passion for culinary excellence and innovation

Pay: £26,000.00-£35,000.00 per year
