Job Overview

We are seeking a dedicated Warehouse Worker to join our dynamic team. The successful candidate will be responsible for handling materials, operating equipment, and supporting the efficient functioning of our warehouse operations. This role offers an excellent opportunity to develop skills in logistics, materials handling, and warehouse management systems within a fast-paced environment. The position is paid and suitable for individuals eager to contribute to a well-organised warehouse setting.

Responsibilities

Load and unload goods using appropriate equipment, pick & pack items ready for dispatch.
Assist with shipping and receiving processes, ensuring accurate documentation and inventory control via IT systems.
Handle materials safely and efficiently, adhering to health and safety regulations
Operate warehouse management systems to track inventory levels and movements
Perform manual handling tasks, including heavy lifting of items up to specified weight limits
Maintain a clean and organised work environment, ensuring safety standards are met
Support stock organisation, storage, and retrieval as needed
Conduct routine inspections of equipment and report any mechanical issues promptly

Qualifications

Prior experience in warehousing or logistics is preferred but not essential; training will be provided
Familiarity with warehouse management systems or similar software is a plus
Mechanical knowledge or construction experience can be beneficial for understanding equipment maintenance
Ability to perform lifting safely and efficiently
Strong organisational skills with attention to detail
Good physical fitness with the ability to stand for extended periods and walk throughout the warehouse area
Commitment to health and safety protocols at all times
