Job Overview
We are looking for a creative and enthusiastic Activity Coordinator to organise and oversee activities for children within our Holiday Club. The role involves planning and delivering engaging age-appropriate activities.

The ideal candidate will possess strong management and leadership skills, with a passion for working with young children. This role offers an excellent opportunity to contribute to a positive environment that promotes learning, development, and fun. The Activity Leader will be responsible for planning, facilitating, and supervising various activities tailored to children's interests and developmental stages, ensuring a safe and enjoyable experience for all participants. Must have experience in leading activities with children aged 2-10, qualified an advantage.

Responsibilities

Plan, organise, and lead a variety of age-appropriate activities suitable for children of different ages.
Supervise children during activities, ensuring their safety and engagement at all times.
Foster a welcoming and inclusive environment that encourages participation and social interaction.
Communicate effectively with children, parents, and colleagues to ensure clear understanding of activity goals and safety procedures.
Maintain organisation of activity materials and equipment, ensuring they are clean, safe, and ready for use.
Monitor behaviour during activities, promoting positive conduct and resolving any conflicts promptly.
Assist with the setup and tidying of activity areas before and after sessions.
Ensure compliance with organisational policies regarding child safety and wellbeing.
Support the development of new programmes or activities based on children's interests and feedback.

Skills

experience in management or leadership roles within childcare or early childhood education settings an advantage
Strong organisational skills with the ability to plan engaging activities tailored to children's needs.
Excellent communication skills in English, capable of effectively liaising with children, parents, and team members.
Experience working with children, including childcare or nursery experience is highly desirable.
Knowledge of early childhood development principles to facilitate age-appropriate activities.
Ability to demonstrate patience, creativity, and enthusiasm when working with young children.

Pay: From £12.71 per hour
