Job Summary

We are seeking a dedicated and experienced individual to join our culinary team in the role of <PERSON>. The ideal candidate will possess strong leadership skills, extensive culinary and kitchen experience, and a passion for food preparation and service. This role offers an opportunity to oversee food production operations, manage a team, and ensure the highest standards of food safety and quality are maintained. The successful applicant will play a vital role in delivering exceptional dining experiences while fostering a positive and efficient work environment.

Working alongside Chef Patron Nigel Haworth, this is an exciting opportunity to become part of a restaurant recognised within the MICHELIN Guide and celebrated for its commitment to sustainability, seasonality, and exceptional British produce.

At The Three Fishes, our menus are shaped by the seasons and inspired by our kitchen garden, local suppliers, and a true farm-to-fork philosophy. We are looking for a chef who shares our passion for quality ingredients, teamwork, and delivering exceptional food experiences.

Responsibilities

Supervise daily food production activities, ensuring consistency and quality across all dishes
Lead and manage kitchen staff, providing guidance, training, and support to foster teamwork and professional growth
Oversee food preparation processes, including cooking, plating, and presentation to meet organisational standards
Maintain strict adherence to food safety regulations and hygiene practices at all times
Coordinate with front-of-house staff to ensure smooth service delivery
Monitor inventory levels, assist with stock ordering, and manage waste control effectively
Ensure compliance with health and safety policies within the kitchen environment
Uphold organisational standards for cleanliness, organisation, and safety within the kitchen area
Preparing and delivering dishes to a high standard
Contributing positively to a professional and collaborative kitchen culture

What We’re Looking For

Previous experience within a quality restaurant kitchen
Passion for fresh, seasonal produce and modern British cooking
Strong organisational and communication skills
Ability to remain calm under pressure during busy service periods
A positive attitude and strong work ethic
Desire to learn, develop, and progress within a professional kitchen environment
Strong leadership skills with the ability to manage a diverse team effectively
Knowledge of food safety standards and regulations is essential
Demonstrated ability to work efficiently under pressure whilst maintaining high-quality standards
