Job Overview

We are seeking a reliable and experienced Breakdown Recovery Driver to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for safely recovering and transporting broken-down vehicles, across various locations. This role requires excellent driving skills, mechanical knowledge, and the ability to communicate effectively with clients and team members. The position offers an engaging work environment where safety, professionalism, and customer service are paramount.

Responsibilities

Safely operate commercial vehicles, to recover and transport vehicles from accident or breakdown sites.
Assess vehicle condition and determine the most appropriate recovery method.
Use mechanical knowledge to troubleshoot minor issues during recovery operations.
Communicate clearly with clients, dispatchers, and team members regarding job status and any issues encountered.
Ensure all recovery activities comply with health and safety regulations.
Maintain cleanliness and routine checks of the vehicle to ensure optimal operation.
Complete all necessary documentation accurately following each recovery operation.

Experience

Proven experience as a driving professional, particularly in delivery or recovery roles involving commercial vehicles.
Demonstrable knowledge of mechanical systems of Vehicles and Vans.
Strong communication skills to liaise effectively with clients and team members.
Valid <PERSON> driver’s licence (or equivalent) with a clean driving record.
Familiarity with driving in various weather conditions and urban/rural environments is preferred.

This role offers an excellent opportunity for a skilled driver with mechanical aptitude to contribute to a professional recovery service while developing their expertise within a supportive team environment.

Pay: £12.21-£13.00 per hour
